This work consists of reproductions inspired by Artuqid State coins and coins from the Ancient Lycia
period. The piece faithfully reflects the forms and details of the originals, without contemporary
reinterpretation or formal alteration. The dimensions were scaled up for display purposes, making them
more legible to museum visitors.
Historically, the civilizations that ruled the Antalya region conducted trade and commerce using coins
they minted themselves. These reproductions aim to render the traces of this historical practice
visible in a contemporary museum context.
